Two suspects in the killing of Misamis Occidental broadcaster Juan “DJ Johnny Walker” Jumalon have been arrested, authorities said Saturday.

The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) announced the arrest of cousins Boboy Sagaray Bongcawel and Renante "Inteng" Saja Bongcawel.

The suspects, implicated in the November 5, 2023 killing, are residents of Barangay Manla.
The suspects were arrested on Friday in Barangay Poblacion by joint operatives of the Calamba and Sapang Dalaga Municipal Police Stations by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder and theft issued by Calamba Executive Judge Michael Lotao Ajoc of Regional Trial Court Branch 36, 10th Judicial Region.

Jumalon was gunned down last November in Calamba, Misamis Occidental while staging his live broadcast inside his residence.
