MANILA — Some local government units (LGUs) have decided to suspend classes on Wednesday, November 6, due to typhoon Marce.

Classes at all levels in the following areas have been suspended:

•  • Camarines Sur(class suspension due to STS Kristine effective until lifted)
•  • Ilocos Sur
•  • Apayao
•  • Quirino
•  • Cagayan
•     - Aparri
•     - Camalaniugan

The following areas, on the other hand, suspended classes in elementary and high school levels:

•  • Ilagan, Isabela
•  • Dipaculao, Aurora

PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over the over northeastern mainland Cagayan, while Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over Batanes, and parts of northern Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley Region.

Marce may continue intensifying and reach its peak before making landfall over or pass very close to Babuyan Islands or northern mainland Cagayan on Thursday.

It is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Thursday.
