The CSG is the regulatory unit of the Philippine National Police (PNP) that exercises administrative and operational control over the Fire and Explosives Office and private security industries.

CSG director Maj. Gen. Leo Francisco said security agencies should seek approval from the CSG if they wished to deviate from the prescribed uniform standards.

“May coordination kami sa ating mga local police, ‘yong ating mga territorial police kasi ang CSG, particularly ang FEO (Fire and Explosives Office) at SOSIA (Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies) ay regulatory body. So, ‘yong operation side is being coordinated sa ating mga territorial police,” Francisco said.
