At 7 a.m., Typhoon Nika was over the coastal waters of Dilasag, Aurora, with maximum winds of 130 kph and gusts up to 180 kph. It is moving west northwestward at 15 kph.

The typhoon will make landfall over Isabela or northern Aurora this Monday morning.

Destructive winds and up to torrential rains will batter most of Northern Luzon and parts of Central Luzon as the typhoon crosses during the day.

Widespread and serious damage, flooding, and landslides are expected.

Nika may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday.
