Kiko Pangilinan files candidacy for Senate comeback

MANILA — Former Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan on Tuesday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator as he eyed a return to the Senate in 2025. 

Pangilinan was accompanied by Megastar Sharon Cuneta, his wife. 

"Handa tayong isantabi ang politika dahil walang kulay politika ang gutom," Pangilinan said during his speech.

Last month, Pangilinan accepted the nomination of Liberal Party fielding him as its senatorial candidate.

The former senator said there needs to be more reforms in various sectors like agriculture.

Pangilinan was a vice-presidential candidate in 2022 but lost to Sara Duterte.
