MANILA -- Several local government units have decided to postpone classes on Monday to give way to the rehabilitation needed In areas badly hit by severe tropical storm Kristine.

Classes in the following areas have been suspended:

San Luis, Batangas (All levels, public and private, modular classes only) 

Talisay, Batangas (Elementary and High School, public and private, modular classes only) 

Lemery, Batangas (All levels, until Oct. 31)

Calaca, Batangas (All levels, face-to-face classes until Oct. 31)

Nasugbu, Batangas (All levels, face-to-face classes until Oct. 31)

Noveleta, Cavite (All levels, public, modular classes until Oct. 30)

Binan, Laguna (All levels, public and private)

Severe tropical storm Kristine has left at least 90 people reported dead, though the number is still up for validation.

The NDRRMC reported 5,784,298 individuals or 1,415,438 families were affected nationwide. 2.5 million persons are from Bicol Region alone, followed by 936,951 from Central Luzon and 685,049 from Eastern Visayas.

Over 488,000 individuals were also affected in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

More than 91,000 families have trooped to evacuation centers and over 48,000 are taking shelter in other places.
