MANILA -- Former Palace spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque said he accepted the decision of the Supreme Court to dismiss his petition for the Writ of Amparo but remained hopeful on his petition for prohibition against the House of Representatives Quad Committee. 

Roque’s petition for the issuance of the Writ of Amparo was denied Tuesday by the high court as it is not a proper remedy to his case.

The court said the writ does not apply to Roque’s case as it is a remedy in cases of extrajudicial killings and disappearances.  

Aside from the writ, Roque has also asked the court to issue a prohibition order against the on-going investigation of the Quad Comm. 

“We hope the House of Representatives will file its comment within the period fixed by the court so the petition can be resolved forthwith,” Roque said in a statement. 

The petition was filed in Roque’s behalf by his daughter Bianca Hacintha.
