MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte on Friday shrugged off President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.'s recent remark on their supposed "friendship," saying government officials' personal feelings should no longer be important.

Marcos last week said he was “a little dismayed” to hear that Duterte does not consider him as a friend.

For the love of God, presidente ka na. Importante pa ba yung nararamdaman mo? " Duterte said in a press conference.

Ang dami mong oras," she added.

Duterte said that instead of his feelings, Marcos should focus on the country's pressing issues such as hunger and inflation.

ABS-CBN is reaching out to the Palace for its reaction.
