Nanindigan si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na hindi na katanggap-tanggap ang pamamalagi at pang-aabuso ng China sa West Philippine Sea. Sa pagpapatuloy ng ASEAN Summit sa Lao People's Democratic Republic, giniit ni Marcos na dapat manindigan ang ASEAN bilang isang grupo at apurahin ng pagsasapinal ng Code of Conduct in the South China Sea.
