<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/10/20/apayao-102016.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Houses were damaged as heavy rains and strong winds pounded the province of Apayao.</div></figcaption></figure></div><p>APAYAO - Several villages in the province of Apayao remained isolated Thursday in the aftermath of the onslaught of super typhoon Lawin.</p><p>The tropical cyclone made landfall in Cagayan on Wednesday evening, and hit Apayao and Ilocos Norte before exiting the Philippine area of responsibility.</p><p>Roads leading to villages in Pudtol town remained impassable after the Apayao River overflowed.</p><p>About 6,665 individuals were evacuated. No casualties were reported in the low-lying towns of Flora, Pudtol, Sta. Marcela and Luna.</p><p>The provinces felt the wrath of the super typhoon, with its agriculture being badly hit.
