MANILA-- The Ospital ng Muntinlupa has reached its full capacity for COVID-19 patients, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said on Friday.

The hospital might not be able to accommodate COVID-19 patients in the meantime but it continues to cater to non-coronavirus cases, Fresnedi said.

Ospital ng Muntinlupa is the latest Metro Manila facility to declare full capacity for COVID-19 cases even as the government continues to claim that there are enough beds for coronavirus patients.

Earlier, the Philippine General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City, Makati Medical Center, and St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City and Taguig City all declared full capacity of their coronavirus wards.

On July 16, the country breached the 60,000-mark for its tally of COVID-19 cases with 61,266 recorded infections, of which 38,183 were active cases.
