Duterte appoints ex-police director Gregorio Pimentel to PDEA

MANILA- President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed retired Philippine National Police Director Gregorio Pimentel to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Pimentel was assigned deputy director general of the PDEA, an appointment paper dated June 4 but released by Malacañang only on Monday showed.

He replaces former PDEA deputy director general Jesus Fajardo.

Duterte also appointed Maria Fe Pili Aliño to the board of the People's Television Network, Inc., Luningning Misuarez-Umar as member of the Philippine Commission on Women, Sherwin Mylil Sepe Begyan as member of the board of directors of the Mindanao Development Authority, and Elizabeth Chaves Lagrito as member of the board of nursing of the Professional Regulation Commission.

Other appointees of the President are Romleah Juliet Pulido Ocampo as director IV of the Department of Trade and Industry, Maybelle Tarongoy-Alcala as provincial agrarian reform officer I of the Department of Agrarian Reform, Dorylene Buenaventura Yara at the
Land Registration Authority, and Maria Elena Morallos Manila as director IV at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
