According Johnny, some guests rushed to the emergency exits, while others went to the basement where he said the employee locker rooms and a canteen were located.Some of the guests were foreigners described as Korean and Japanese citizens.Johnny said at least one attacker was wearing a scarf around his head with only his eyes showing. He didn&#x27;t hear a battlecry nor did the attackers identify themselves. He could only hear people screaming as they sought safe ground.According to another casino employee at the scene, a casino-tables supervisor, there was a fire on the 2nd floor, while the gunshots could be heard in a restaurant also on the same floor.Another employee, not identified for his personal security, said he was holed up inside the hotel while he was on the phone being interviewed by DZMM.He said he wanted to try running for the hotel exit, but his companions stopped him out of fear for their safety.According to his companions, they saw the armed attackers shoot a person.<div>“Baka po kasi kapag labas namin, bigla po kaming paputukan dito (If we leave the room, we could be shot at),” the employee said.</div>Julio Silva, a casino guest, said he hid in the 3rd-floor washroom for about 30 minutes.“Ang daming putukan . . . ang lalakas ng putok (There were a lot of gunshots . . . they were loud),” Silva said in a DZMM interview, adding that, when he stepped out of the men’s room, he couldn’t see as thick smoke filled the hall.Silva said Resorts World security helped him from the 3rd floor to the hotel exit.
