Present during her proclamation on Thursday was her husband, actor Richard Gomez, who also won his reelection bid for the mayoralty in Ormoc City.

Torres-Gomez got 81,281 votes against her opponent Winnie Codilla's 25,150, based on 100 percent of election returns transmitted from 198 precincts as of 5:06 p.m. Thursday.
