After a major glitch, Commission on Elections' (Comelec) precinct finder is now accessible to help voters find their precincts ahead of the midterm polls.

Earlier Friday, Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez explained that experts were fixing the precinct finder website, checking if there are “any issues [that] remained.”

Jimenez said one problem encountered by the team was having a default response of “deactivated” whenever there is a blank field in the query posted by the user.

It could be recalled that the Comelec website was breached by hackers in 2016 and personal information of at least 55 million voters were posted online. The precinct finder was disabled because it was one of the functionalities affected by the breach.
