Radio broadcaster Edmund Sestoso passed away on Tuesday afternoon, a day after gunmen on board a motorcycle attacked him in Barangay Daro.

DUMAGUETE CITY - Radio broadcaster Edmund Sestoso died from wounds he sustained, a day after he was shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen.

Sestoso, host to the daily blocktime "Tug-anan" on dyGB 91.7 FM, died around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Gunmen attacked him while he was on board a motorcycle in Barangay Daro on Monday morning.

He sustained gunshot wounds in the chest, arms and legs.

Lourdes Sestoso said her husband received threats while working as a radio blocktimer.

Police said the motive could be related to Sestoso's work as a broadcaster.

Police formed a Special Investigation Task Group to probe Sestoso's death.
