MANILA - Skywatchers will be rewarded with the Lyrids meteor shower this weekend, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

Under optimal condition, the Lyrids generate a dozen meteors per hour with a brief maximum that lasts for less than a day, PAGASA-SSAS added.
