MANILA - Lights were turned off in different parts of the country as Filipinos joined Earth Hour 2018.

In Quezon City, the lights of the QC Memorial Shrine and dancing fountain were temporarily turned off for the annual event.

In a mall in Lipa, Batangas, a lights art performer entertained mall visitors in the dark, while a hotel restaurant lighted their place with candles.

Meanwhile, glow-in-the-dark bottles formed the 60+ symbol of the yearly event in San Fernando, Pampanga.

In Baguio, hundreds of locals lit their cellular phones and flashlights at exactly 8:30 pm as they celebrate the Earth Hour.

As they wait for the hour to end, they celebrated by dancing to the beat of their cultural songs, bringing unity to their aim of showing their love and care to the Mother Earth.
