President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday prodded his youngest son, Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, to enter the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) instead of sustaining his promiscuous lifestyle.

"Yung Sebastian na wala din ginawa kung 'di mag hanap din ng babae, sana pumunta na lang 'yan sa PMA para mabugbog doon," Duterte said in jest, in a speech delivered during the graduation ceremonies of the Philippine National Police Academy.

The elder Duterte's jab came as he told new cops about the government's plan to support the families of uniformed personnel killed in line of duty.

Duterte first urged his son "to come home to his family" in February amid Baste's highly publicized relationship with actress Ellen Adarna.

The president also publicly scolded his youngest son for allegedly not giving enough financial support to his children.

Baste has previously responded to his father’s rants and said he really loves being the "favorite" child in the family.

Baste has since asked his father to stop shaming him in public.
