Relatives of 12 of the Tanay bus accident victims have claimed insurance benefits from the insurer of Panda Coach Tours and Travel on Friday.

Each family received P130,000: P50,000 from insurance firm SCCI, another P50,000 from another insurer Paramount and P30,000 from Panda Coach.

The balance will be given once all documents have been presented by the claimants.

Four injured victims have claimed the P20,000 medical reimbursement claims.

Meanwhile, the 3 wives of driver Julian Lacorda have amicably agreed to split the insurance money.

They said they agreed that the money will be given to all 7 children of Lacorda.

Relatives who failed to get the claims 5 p.m. on Friday will have to go to the insurers' offices starting Monday.

The accident left 15 people dead, most of whom were students of Bestlink College en route to a camping event in Tanay, Rizal.
