TAGBILARAN CITY -- A lawyer was shot to death by unidentified assailants in Tagbilaran City, Bohol Wednesday afternoon.

Lawyer Mia Manuelita Mascariñas-Green was ambushed while riding inside her private vehicle in Purok 2, Zamora Street, Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.

She sustained 7 gunshot wounds in different parts of her body.

According to Tagbilaran city police in a phone interview, the lawyer was shot by two men riding a motorcycle. As of this writing, investigation was still ongoing.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Baba Yap condemned the killing in a statement sent through a text message.

"My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Atty. Mia Mascariñas Green. I strongly condemn the crime committed that took away the life of a loving wife and mother. We will do everything we can to seek justice," Yap said.

Green's family offered a P500,000 reward for anybody who could identify the those behind the shooting.
