NDF consultant arrested in Davao City

DAVAO CITY- A consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) was arrested Monday morning at a checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan in Toril, Davao City.

Ariel Arbitrario alias "Ka Marlon," along with his companion Roderick Manuyac alias "Calot Una," were apprehended by Task Force Davao.

Arbitrario is supposed to be protected under the Joint Agreement on Safety and Immunity Guarantees (JASIG). He had been released on bail by a court over his cases prior to the peace talks with the NDFP.

Arbitrario is believed to be a secretary-general of a guerilla unit in southern Mindanao.
