All eyes are on Lyka Estrella, the sweet girl, power belter and dreamer who emerged as the Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 6 grand winner. Since everyone’s eager to get to know this rising OPM star, she took on the “Kapamilya Chat Firsts” Challenge wherein she revealed her unforgettable firsts.

Lyka has interesting “firsts” in her singing journey. She started to show her potential at age 5 and became a young ‘kontesera’, with Sarah Geronimo’s “Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan” as her first contest piece.

As that one friend blessed with a golden voice, she’s often tapped to perform during their birthdays and other special occasions.

Apart from her singing chops, she also has great kitchen skills. And the first recipe she mastered is pinakbet.

The first person to inspire her is her mom, who’s been supportive of her dream as an aspiring singer since day one. “Ma, gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo na thank you sa lahat ng binigay ninyong guidance at pagmamahal. Hindi n’yo ako pinabayaan hanggang marating ko itong journey na ito,” said her message to her mother.

Now that she’s conquered the mainstream entertainment scene, Lyka is starting to make investments in herself. She first splurged on dresses to prepare for her upcoming guest appearances.

Lyka smiled when asked about her first heartbreak. She was only 16 then, and her crush didn’t like her back. Asked her first big achievement, she got so giddy reliving her TNT journey.
