We've put a lot of heart into this place,” says Michael Concepcion, Creative Director of Standard Group, as he introduces the bold new dining concept: Ippudo Ramen Bar.

For ramen lovers, this is a milestone moment. Ippudo has opened its first-ever ramen bar right here in Metro Manila. At Uptown Mall, BGC, the original Ippudo location has been transformed into a lively new space where ramen isn't just a dish, but the centerpiece of a broader, more vibrant dining experience.

Drawing inspiration from favorite ramen and izakaya bars in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, and Bangkok, the concept was built to be as much about atmosphere as it is about food. “Expect bold flavors, creative dishes, and a lively vibe. It’s got all the elements I personally look for—from a well-designed space to a confident bar program, proper sushi offerings, and of course, serious ramen,” says Michael.

At Ippudo Ramen Bar, the experience is reimagined: it's not just about eating and going, but about staying, socializing, and savoring the moment. “It encourages people to stay longer, have a drink, chat, and hang out—making ramen part of a fuller experience rather than just a quick meal,” he shares.

It’s a fresh take that mirrors the evolution of ramen culture itself: more communal, more casual, more interactive. “It's traditional ramen reimagined as part of a social experience,” Michael explains.

Beyond the bowl

While you’ll still find Ippudo’s world-famous ramen, the Ramen Bar also features an exclusive menu designed to pair with a longer, more leisurely visit.

If you're wondering where to start, Michael recommends the Charcoal Grilled Chicken Ramen and the Hanetsuki Gyoza—perfect companions to the bar’s creative small plates and modern sashimi dishes. Coming for your first visit? Start with these exclusive must-try dishes:

The Ramen Bar’s cocktail selection brings a refreshing finish to the experience, with drinks like the bright Yuzu Highball and playful Umeshu. Non-alcohol beverages are also available. Sip on a Yuzu Sunrise (Citrus fruit + Oolong Tea) or a Mixed Berries Iced Tea with frozen berries.
