On April 24, Finestra’s white tablecloth setting transforms into a journey through the lush Rhône Valley. Under the restaurant’s shimmering chandeliers will be a six-course affair that marries the storied wines of Chapoutier Winery with the culinary genius of Executive Chef Andrea Spagoni. More than just dinner—this will be a fleeting journey to a land of sunlit vines and soulful flavors, with limited seats for those ready to be enchanted.

Chapoutier, a Rhône icon, crafts its wines with organic and biodynamic devotion. Sommelier Daniel Blais, who is also Solaire’s Director of Beverage, has curated a selection to  perfectly pair with the chef’s Rhône-inspired menu. Picture yourself mingling with fellow wine lovers, savoring canapés like velvety beef tartare with egg yolk, delicate cod flakes with dill, or crisp cauliflower croquettes, as the anticipation builds.

The journey begins with a silken Lapu-lapu quenelle, kissed by roasted onion gelée and sour cream, paired with the Hermitage White Chante Alouette 2020—a wine that weaves quince, honey, and linden-tree into a mesmerizing overture. A rustic chicken leg terrine with grenache reduction follows, elevated by the Saint-Joseph Les Granilites 2022, its dark fruit and spice a soft, seductive whisper. Then, a lush mushroom gratin with camembert and morels meets the bold Cornas Les Arènes 2021, bursting with blackberry and morello cherry.

The indulgence deepens with a creamy chestnut risotto, laced with duck liver sauce and cherry jus, paired with the elegant Hermitage Monier de la Sizeranne 2018. A roasted pork tenderloin, served with herb-flecked mashed potatoes and white asparagus, finds its match in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Barbe Rac 2012, a silky cascade of raspberry and blackberry that begs you to linger. For dessert, a red wine-poached pear with dark chocolate baulois and vanilla ice cream dances with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Bernardine 2021, a bold finale that will haunt your palate.
