ASICS SportStyle returned to Paris Fashion Week with its fourth annual pop-up, running from June 25 to 27 at Espace Commines in the hip and happening Le Marais district in Paris, France. The space was sleek, understated, and intentionally calm—a contrast to the usual chaos of fashion week. Built around the brand’s “Sound Mind, Sound Body” ethos, the layout  reflected Japanese minimalism—featuring soft textures, natural materials, and clean lines. The pop-up provided a reset from the usual fast-paced energy of fashion week.

Headline Collabs

This year, ASICS focused on two key collaborations: one with JJJJound and another with SHUSHU/TONG. Both releases were tied closely to the brand’s design evolution and commitment to wearability.

JJJJound’s fourth collaboration with ASICS introduced a new take on the GEL-QUANTUM 360 I AMP. The sneaker was released in an all-white upper with off-white midsoles and subtle reflective detailing, highlighting the silhouette’s visible technology. This model celebrates the tenth anniversary of the GEL-QUANTUM line, originally launched in 2015. It incorporates both GEL and TRUSSTIC technology, known for comfort and support. The shoe dropped on June 26 through JJJJound.com, with a wider release via ASICS.com and select retailers on July 3.

Shanghai-based SHUSHU/TONG reworked the GEL-KINETIC FLUENT, blending their signature lacework with ASICS’ sculptural sneaker design. The upper features openwork lace panels layered over ASICS stripes, while the shape references early 2010s sneaker architecture. The combination of lace and structure creates visual contrast without compromising comfort.

The sneaker is built with FF BLAST PLUS foam, GEL cushioning, and Scutoid GEL heel support, engineered for long wear. It launched at the Paris pop-up in Silver Blue and Ink Blue, and will release globally on August 9.

Filipino Presence at the Pop-Up

Among the international crowd, both from Asia and the world, Filipino creatives showed up strong. James Reid, LA Aguinaldo, and Issa Pressman were all spotted at the event, checking out the space and the new drops. The trio brought easy, effortless style that matched the tone of the pop-up—no fuss, just good design and solid energy.

METRO caught up with the three at the event and during their shoot for ASICS, to know more about their experience.

“It was so cool to see all the collaborations of ASICS with other brands and also just the vibe of being in Paris Fashion Week to see the ASICS pop-up ,” says LA. “Such an amazing experience to meet people from around the world celebrating the shoes.”

James and Issa also had a blast at their time in Paris. “At the pop-up, where they made us feel all the textures and different materials that they used in the shoe, so it’s like a maximized feel of the shoe. It’s like we were inside the shoe,” says Issa. “The event was basically a huge bouncey house,” as per James

Their presence reflects a growing wave of Filipino influence in the global fashion and creative space. At an event built around authenticity and considered design, their inclusion felt natural and well-aligned.

The pop-up was naturally grounded in its concept and experience. Between the smart space design, two well-executed sneaker collabs, and a guest list that mixed industry insiders with true fans, the brand managed to hold attention at one of the most exciting fashion events in Paris. Quiet confidence continues to be part of ASICS’ strongest play—and in a packed fashion week calendar, that stood out.

ASICS in the Philippines is available at Greenbelt 3 in Makati, Two Parkade in Bonifacio Global City, and Trinoma Mall in Quezon City, and more.
