Following the summit’s success, Gravity Art Space brings the energy of that encounter home through Reconnecting Intersections—an exhibition showcasing the rich, cross-cultural dialogue born from this international collaboration. While the works stand in strength alone, it is how they come together, interwoven and in conversation, that gives the exhibition its deepest power. Included in the show are works by Erwin Romulo, Pam Miras, Jet Leyco, and Vonne Patiag, alongside special screenings of Juan Orasan by Ging Flores, Fly by Rustom Pujado, Don’t Worry, We Still Hear You by Martika Escobar, and Insert Title Here by Jules Leaño, to name but a few.

A hauntingly intimate work included in the exhibition is Tender Mechanisms, a short film by Paris-based Filipina artist and writer Liz Bautista. Dreamlike and arresting, the film moves the viewer between states of relaxation and tension—a visual dance between waking and sleep, public and private spaces.

Having grown up in Manila, Bautista describes how she found “solace in prayer, movement, and sleep. ” The film gently traces these self-soothing practices that have helped her survive in different environments, evolving as she moved from Manila to Singapore to Malaysia to Berlin, and finally, to her now home in Paris.
