The Miss Universe Philippines season has officially begun! Deeply embedded in our culture, beauty pageants have always been a celebrated avenue to showcase the brilliance, uniqueness, and captivating pasarelas of Filipinas. With the recent preliminary competition, many of us have already placed our bets and made our guesses on who will be the next beauty queen representing the country in the international competition.

Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Philippines, Chelsea Manalo and Erika Kristensen-Lee, this year’s preliminary competition featured a stunning showcase of swimsuits and evening gowns. A total of 66 candidates graced the stage, each exuding their fiercest and most endearing smiles that captivated both judges and audiences alike.

While we admire all these exquisite women for their dazzling stage presence, there are still a few candidates that truly stood out and took the competition to the next level.

Being a beauty queen runs in her blood; no wonder she hit the stage with oozing confidence and unwavering charisma. Her pasarela was one of a kind, not to mention her beauty that captivated us on screen, featuring a sleek hairstyle, bold eye glamour, and a punch of nude lipstick.

Quezon Province - Ahtisa Manalo

If we're talking about powerful stage presence, Ahtisa owned it! She sashayed with long, silky straight hair that flowed beautifully along her yellow gown. It harmonized perfectly with her walk during the swimsuit segment. A competition, indeed!

Alessandra made a bold beauty statement during the preliminary competition. Her makeup artist, Ken Azuela, focused on emphasizing her beautiful morena complexion, pairing it with straightened hair, gray contacts, dramatic eye makeup, topped off with a glossy lip.

Packed with sweet charm on stage, Gwendoline ate and left no crumbs in pageantry. She delivered flawless beauty—from her hair tied in a high bun to her makeup, which drew attention to her voluminous lashes and lips tinted with a warm shade topped with shine.

Lady in blue, ready to take the crown. Rechel embraced elegance in a traditional fashion and beauty statement, complemented by full-glam styling for the evening gown segment. Her look was a fusion of Arabic and Filipino contemporary glam, with expressive glitter on the eyelids, glossy lips, and warm-toned cheeks.
