Fourteen years may have already passed since the Pinoy Big Brother Double Up wrapped up, the edition where both of them came from and where their love story began, yet Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco have remained two of the most unforgettable and well-loved alumni not just of that certain season, but of the entire franchise, too.

And fast-forward to the present, they’re among the strongest and most endearing showbiz couples that we know, being able to overcome all the challenges that came their way and tried to shake up their unbreakable connection over the years that they have been together. They are now proud parents to their two adorable and talented daughters, Mela and Stella, and have been married for 10 years (and counting)!

With how completely different their personalities are, with Melai being an extrovert and Jason being an introvert, there are, perhaps, people who are wondering how they’re able to jive with one another. Well, aside from true love, it’s their choice to accept each other’s flaws and imperfections, as Melai implied in this exclusive video, wherein ent.abs-cbn.com quizzed her about the things that she loves and ‘hates’ about her cherished husband.

First of the things that she admires about him is his kind and understanding heart. She imparted that every time they have misunderstandings, it’s actually Jason who is usually the calmer between them since she admitted lacking it sometimes. However, there are moments when he becomes surly or maldito, which is something that she has already accepted about him.

The second thing that Melai loves about Jason is his generosity. She recounted an instance when Jason opted to give a street kid the only cash he had, which he was supposed to his payment for the toll on one of their trips. He ended up using his credit card, which the attendant declined and just offered to pay his fee out of his/her own pocket. “Pero ‘yong pagiging giver niya is talagang dapat naman talaga kasi minsan instrument tayo ni Lord para matugunan ‘yong prayer ng iba,” the Magandang Buhay host conveyed.

But even though her husband has a heart of gold, she hates it whenever he has mustache and beard as they tend to tickle or irritate her whenever they kiss.

The third thing that she highly appreciates about him is his huge love for their daughters, which will be one of the reasons why he will choose to him over and over again no matter what happens. While he’s admirable in that part, Melai confessed that she tends to get annoyed by Jason’s forgetfulness or being makakalimutin.

Indeed, Melai and Jason’s marriage is proof that there is no such thing as a perfect relationship, but it can last a lifetime as long as there’s respect, understanding, acceptance, support, and, of course, love between the couple.
