Incognito, directed by Lester Pimentel Ong, marks a career milestone for Anthony Jennings whose breakthrough project was the drama-romance series Can’t Buy Me Love. While his new series is in a different genre, his character in Incognito somewhat resembles his previous character, Snoop; Anthony’s Tomas Guerrero is a vibrant and layered character that adds a unique flavor of humor and grit to the series.

“Ang tagal ko nang hinahangad talaga [ang] action [I've long aspired to do action],” he said, sharing that getting this opportunity is an achievement for him. “'Yung makagawa ka ng parang action star na alam mong 'yung character mo parang superhero, ganu'n 'yung dating niya, ang sarap sa pakiramdam [It feels great to be like an action star where you know your character is like a superhero].“

While he had dabbled in the genre before, Incognito demanded a whole new level of physical and emotional commitment.

“Intense ’yung training. Hanggang ngayon nagte-training pa rin kami... May training kami sa Pekiti, tactical, tapos Muay Thai [Our training is intense. We're training till now... We have training on Pekiti, tactical, and Muay Thai],” he shared. Despite the challenges in the action scenes, Anthony found joy in every punch, kick, and bruise. He shared, “Every scene talaga, may pasa ako. So, hindi talaga maiiwasan ’yung bukol... 'Pag action talaga, hindi talaga mawawala 'yung gano'ng bagay. And, para sa akin, challenging siya pero at the same time, sobrang fun sa akin. [I would get bruises every scene. You can't really avoid having bumps... But really, when it comes to action, those things are inevitable. And for me, they're challenging but at the same time super fun].”

Describing Tomas, Anthony gushed, “Ang ganda nu'ng character. S'yempre, andu'n 'yung fun, 'yung energy. Siya 'yung parang bulakbol sa grupo. Kahit na ganu'n siya, na may times na hindi siya seryoso, andu'n pa rin 'yung focus, 'yung galing niya 'pag nasa mga fight scenes. Nagche-change 'yung character niya. Nagpapatawa siya, nakakatawa lang siya, pero pagdating sa combat, pagdating sa war, nag-iiba siya ng character. [The character is nice. Of course, there's the fun and the energy. He's the troublemaker in the group. But even though he's like that, that there are times when he isn't serious, his focus is still there, as well as his flair for fight scenes; he changes his character. He makes people laugh and he's funny, but when it comes to combat and war, he becomes a different person]."

One of Incognito’s strongest assets is its relatability. “Hindi siya nagfo-focus sa iisang aspect ng buhay ng isang tao [It doesn't just focus on one aspect of a person's life],” Anthony said, describing how the show explores the narratives of people from different walks of life and the universal struggles everyone faces.

“Sobrang ganda nu'ng lugar,” Anthony said, adding that immersing himself in the local culture was as enriching as the scenes they shot. “On- and off-cam namin, masaya lahat 'yung cast, 'yung buong production [The cast and the production crew were all happy on- and off-cam],“ he added, making his entire filming experience abroad, moreso in the Philippines, unforgettable.
