The action-drama series Incognito is highly anticipated, and since its release last January 17, it’s proven to deliver beyond expectations. The show currently takes the top spot in Netflix Philippines’ Top 10 list of TV shows. When it premiered on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube last Monday, January 20, it garnered 585,973 peak concurrent viewers. This is just proof of how much it has captivated audiences with its well-thought-out action sequences, characterizations, and storytelling. 

Among the powerhouse ensemble cast of Incognito is Baron Geisler. He portrays Miguel Tecson, a multifaceted character navigating personal and professional challenges in a gripping storyline.

In an exclusive Metro.Style interview, Baron shared insights about his role, the series’ themes, and his transformative experience on set.

For Baron, Incognito marks a significant departure from his past roles. “I'm so grateful to ABS-CBN and Star Creatives for giving me this big opportunity because this is my first good guy role. And I'm part of the lead cast. So it's kind of refreshing,” he noted, describing his character Miguel as a skilled surgeon, medic, and sniper. Each member of the Incognito team brings their unique talents and backstories, and Miguel’s journey is one of self-improvement. 

“All the characters are broken human beings striving to be better while serving our country,” Baron explained.

Baron praised the series’ commitment to high-quality storytelling and production, citing director Lester Pimentel Ong’s expertise. “For me, right now, he's the best action director in Asia,” he said. Produced by ABS-CBN Studios, Star Creatives, and Studio 360, the series also stars Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, and Daniel Padilla.

From rigorous training in gun handling, boxing, kickboxing, and tactical warfare to immersive character development, Incognito is designed to push the boundaries of Philippine television. 

Filmed in stunning locations like Matera, Italy, the series combines breathtaking visuals with heart-stopping action. Locally, their filming locations of choice included Palawan and Baguio.

At its core, Incognito is a story about unity and perseverance. Baron emphasized the relevance of the series in today’s world, touching on themes of justice and hope. “This series inspires people to fight for what’s right and never give up,” he shared. 

The dynamic relationships among the characters reflect real-life struggles and the importance of teamwork in overcoming adversity, and he felt a sense of family on Incognito’s set. Working on this project was a deeply personal journey for Baron. 

“We move as a team, and we finish as a team,” he said, repeating the commanding words of their team leader Gregorio Paterno (played by Ian Veneracion). The role also pushed him to prioritize self-care, with producers encouraging him to embrace a cleaner, more refined look. “It’s refreshing to be seen in a different light,” he admitted.

Baron is proud to be part of a project that showcases Filipino talent on an international stage. “This is just the beginning,” he declared, extremely pleased to be part of an action-drama series where every scene promises a blend of action, emotion, and inspiration. 

With Incognito, Baron Geisler not only explores new horizons as an actor but also contributes to elevating the action genre in Philippine television.
