Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 ex-housemate Jarren Garcia soars high in the industry. With his consecutive ASAP performances and mall shows, he is undoubtedly well on his way to becoming a sought-after young artist in the local showbiz scene. 

After being named as one of the newest Myx VJ, Jarren is also set to release his self-titled album debut this coming February, marking his first contribution to the music industry.

“That Boy, Jarren,” Jarren Garcia’s debut album under Star Pop features eight tracks and will be launched on February 8, 2025 at SM North Edsa Skydome. His album will consist of mostly English songs and one track with Tagalog lyrics. It is described to be in the Sexy R&B genre.

“Experimental, an organized experiment,” he shared in an exclusive with Metro.Style when asked how he would describe his upcoming album.

Jarren loves to record at night because that’s when he can feel the vibes of his songs better, complete with dim lights to amp up the mood. “My favorite thing to do is to turn off the lights when we’re inside the studio and have a very dim light where I can feel the song,” he shared.

Recording his songs for the album was tiring but he was thrilled to have discovered his capabilities and range. “I’m surprised I didn’t lose my voice that night but we recorded three songs straight in one night because we were really in the feel of the songs, and we just kept going and we were at the studio around 4 AM, 5 AM. But that was one of my favorite nights in the recording studio.”

He is indeed a talented man, as fans have seen from his journey from Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 until his career in the “outside world.“ And, as delightful as it is for the fans, Jarren can’t help but be surprised by his own skills as well. “[What] I discovered about myself while doing the album is that, I don’t have to stick to one genre, my voice can be comfortable with many different kinds of styles and genres,” he said.

Jarren summed up his whole recording experience for the album as “just unforgettable.“ He added, “Creating my first ever original songs, and releasing them out to the world, it’s gonna be unforgettable and insane.”

He also thanked his fans, saying, “A big thank you to all of you because I wouldn’t have been able to do this album without the support of you, guys. I hope you guys really enjoy listening to the songs that I’ve put a lot of love and effort [to].”
