Kasi sa dami-daming nag-audition, nagulat ako na isa po ako sa napili. Ang una kong ginawa, nag-pray po ako. Una, kilala na ‘komarami nang nakakakilala sa’kin. Sobrang daming opportunities. PBB: Gen 11 isn’t just a TV show for fans to enjoy—it’s also a transformative experience for the housemates, allowing them to learn valuable life lessons and grow as individuals.

When asked to describe his experience inside the house in one word, JP replies, “Unique. Unique dahil kakaiba kapag nasa loob. Ang daming paikot-ikot, ang daming mga events na 'di mo akalain na magagawa mo. Unique siya dahil 'di mo siya ginagawa sa labas ng bahay [outside world], du’n mo lang siya ginawa sa loob. His lighthearted personality is what many people love about him the most. Vincent “Binsoy” Namoca, dubbed the “Ang Maabilidancing Dong ng South Cotabato,” is fond of being productive and is a choreographer back in his hometown. Content and happy with his life, Binsoy never thought he would be part of such a life-changing experience, with PBB playing a major role. When asked about his initial reaction upon hearing his name announced as one of the housemates, he replies, “Sobrang happy po, kasi ’di ko po in-expect na magiging housemate ako.”

The turning point in Binsoy’s journey didn’t end the moment his name was called as a housemate. Inside Big Brother’s house, he experienced a whirlwind of emotions and events. JARREN GARCIA: ANG CHARMING CROONER NG LONDON

One of the housemates who immediately captured the hearts of many is Jarren Garcia. Jarren, born and raised in London, is winning hearts for his angelic voice. He joined The Voice Kids UK in 2020. Although Jarren didn’t make it to the finals, the universe seems to have redirected him toward a different path to success. Now, Jarren is one of the most beloved housemates from this year’s PBB: Gen 11.

When the housemates were announced, Jarren was thrilled to be on the list. He shared his initial reaction, saying, “It was such a long process, and I didn’t know whether I would be a housemate or not. Pero I was so excited to find out na I was going to be a housemate because it’s something I’ve been waiting for so long. At that point, I was really excited to enter the house and see what tasks Kuya had in store for me.”

The excitement led to memorable moments inside the house. Reflecting on these, Jarren shared the task that struck him the most. He tells Metro.Style, “My most memorable task was the musical, the BisTag musical. I had to learn my lines in Bisaya, which is something I wasn’t familiar with. But it was really nice to venture into a new dialect. It’s very close to Bicolano, so I could understand a bit.”

Jarren’s career in the Philippines continues to flourish, even reaching our FYPs every day. When asked if he’s ready to take on acting roles soon, he confidently replies, “I never really thought about what kind of roles I want to play. I’d say anything, really—put me in any role, and I’ll try my best to fulfill it.”

Despite his growing popularity after the show, the charming crooner from London remains grounded and humbly shared how the overall journey changed his life.

He opens up, “From just being a regular boy in London focusing on my studies, it’s so crazy now. I’m living in the Philippines, and now I have become a public figure. It still shocks me that people know who I am. Because every time I come home from an event or ASAP, I see myself on TV, and I look in the mirror and feel like I'm still like the normal boy studying in London. I just feel like a normal person, and I don’t know, parang walang nag-iba.”

Jarren described his experience in PBB: Gen 11 as a mix of emotions. To sum up his journey in one word, he quips, “I’d say a roller-coaster. It was a roller-coaster for me—a roller-coaster of emotions.”—Ryan Christopher Claveria

JASMINE DUDLEY-SCALES: ANG OPTIMISTIC ATE NG DUMAGUETE

True to her moniker, “Ang Optimistic Ate ng Dumaguete,” Jasmine Helen “Jas” Dudley-Scales embodied the role of an older sister to her housemates with her kind and understanding personality.

The universe aligned with Jasmin’s manifestations, and she was officially announced as part of the season. Expressing her joy, she says, “Oh my gosh, this is it. I still couldn’t believe it. Hindi siya nag-si-sync in sa’kin. I feel like the entire process—from the audition to all the different callbacks we went through, until the moment na I was announced na official housemate na ako, pagpasok sa bahay ni Kuya—until this very moment, surreal.”

Her time inside Big Brother’s house was memorable in many ways. When asked about her favorite memory, she fondly recalls the baby task, “I was a weekly task leader noon, but then they didn’t know na may task na pala na ongoing. So parang it was just really fun. It was the second week, so we were still getting to know each other, but medyo close na kami—we had built connections. That was one of the best!”

Jasmin described her PBB: Gen 11 experience with heartwarming words. For her, it was like a book where every housemate was the main character—each with their own plot twists, conflicts, and climaxes.

As one chapter of the book closed, a new one began for her and her fellow housemates—this time it’s outside Big Brother’s house, with fresh opportunities awaiting. Who does she dream of sharing the small or big screen with? “Siyempre Joshua Garcia. Joshua Garcia went inside Kuya’s house, and we did a little acting. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, grabe nangungusap ’yung mata niya.’ He’s really good, and he’s a great actor for me.” For actresses, she shared her admiration for Kathryn Bernardo, Kaila Estrada, and Janine Gutierrez.

PBB: Gen 11 undoubtedly changed Jasmin’s life for the better. Her time in the house helped her grow in ways she couldn't believe happened in just two months in the outside world. The diversity among the housemates—from their cultural backgrounds to their upbringings—taught her to be understanding and sensitive to others' feelings.

Jasmine cherished everything inside Big Brother’s house as it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that only a few are lucky enough to have. If she could sum up her journey in only one word, it would be “spectacular.” She elaborates, “Spectacular, kasi it’s not just all rainbows and butterflies inside. There are so many storms we experienced, pero kasi lahat ng housemates, we all became resilient.”—Ryan Christopher Claveria

DYLAN YTURRALDE: ANG ASTIG VOLLEYBAE NG PAMPANGA

Dylan Yturralde previously gained attention when he joined It’s Showtime’s "EXpecially For You" segment, which went viral on May 14, 2024. The former ace setter from the University of the East (UE) captivated the hearts of the "madlang people" and carried this charm into his new role as a housemate in PBB: Gen 11

Upon being announced as one of the housemates, Dylan expressed his joy, recalling, “As an aspirant, s’yempre sobrang saya, and this is my third time auditioning for PBB, so nasa utak ko lang is, ‘Finally, naging housemate rin ako sa wakas.’ Kasi ever since I was a kid, pangarap ko na talaga makausap si Kuya sa confession room, and mapanood ’yung sarili ko sa TV—na housemate paglabas ko.”

Dylan’s story didn’t end there. Inside Big Brother’s house, every moment was filled with stories bringing about realizations. Recalling his experience, he found it hard to choose just one standout memory as every experience was a sweet moment to remember.

But if he had to highlight one, Dylan singled out the theater task week, “’Yung week ng theater task namin. Ang daming nangyayari tapos sobrang gahol kami sa mga requirements ni Kuya—’yung script, ’yung props, storyline, actors. And then na-meet din namin nu’ng week na ‘yun si Joshua Garcia; napanood namin ’yung pelikula niya. ‘Yun ‘yung memorable, pero lahat naman kasi memorable sa‘kin.”

Dylan, who has been through multiple auditions, shared his excitement about future collaborations and projects. When asked about the actors or actresses he’d like to work with, he enthusiastically responds, “Kahit sino naman po maka-work ko, I’m happy to work with anyone. But s’yempre may mga idol tayo na gusto kong maka-work tulad nila Kuya DJ [Daniel Padilla], Elijah Canlas, Francine Diaz, and BINI Mikha.”

Stepping into Big Brother’s house was already a dream come true for Dylan, and leaving it only reaffirmed this aspiration. He elaborated, “Ever since I stepped inside the house, nasabi ko, ‘I’m living my dream na.’ And s’yempre after—paglabas, I’m living the dream na talaga. I’m very grateful na naging part ako ng season na ‘to.”—Ryan Christopher Claveria

GWEN MONTANO: ANG BRAVE BROMANTIKO NG CAVITE

Living an ordinary life and pursuing his path in dentistry, Gwen Montano, had everything in his life planned. However, an unexpected, extraordinary turn of events redirected Gwen to a new chapter.

He shared his thoughts about this surprising change when he was announced as one of the housemates: “My initial reaction was that I was really shocked. At first, I wasn’t in the teaser, but then everybody got called in, and I wasn’t there. Kumbaga, I lost all hope. Then it was really a big shock because the show had already started, and I was called again to be a part of it. I was really excited and dumbfounded kasi nakakagulat na akala mo ‘yun na ‘yun, e. Tapos biglang kasali pa pala ako.”

Gwen proved himself to be a hardworking individual and through the tasks given by Big Brother, he found one moment particularly unforgettable: “My most memorable moment is the announcement that we had a 94 or 96% approval rate du'n sa theater play namin. All of us poured our heart and soul, sweat, and tears du‘n sa play na ‘yon. Talagang nag-effort kami, like maximum [effort].”

Before being cast as a PBB housemate, Gwen was deeply focused on his dentistry career. Now, he is also looking forward to scoring projects in the entertainment industry. When asked about the actors he would love to work with, Gwen shared, “Si Sir John Arcilla kasi ibang klase talaga si Heneral Luna. Pero sa medyo mas bata-batang side, I would say sina Sir Gerald Anderson and Sir Jake Cuenca.”

On the roles and genres he wants to explore, Gwen tells us, “I’m really into those intense scenes, intense psychological scenes. Medyo witty mga ganong mga eksena. So I would like to see myself playing those roles more than ’yung mga melodrama. S’yempre I would love to pero gusto ko sana ma-express ‘yung range and ma-discover kung hanggang saan ‘yung ability ko as an actor.”

Before entering Big Brother’s house, Gwen described himself as a private person with a clear focus on his dental career. However, the experience changed his life. While dentistry remains a profession he is passionate about, the new opportunities and possibilities excite him.

Finally, when asked to describe his PBB: Gen 11 experience in one word, Gwen chose “surreal” and dedicated his journey to his mother, saying, “I would always say na sobrang surreal ng experience sa bahay ni Kuya. Growing up, my mom would always watch PBB, and to think na I got to be there—if only she could watch, you know, sobrang surreal ng experience. Every day nu‘ng nasa loob ako ng bahay ni Kuya, naiisip ko na ‘yung mom ko, most likely napapanood niya ako up there.”—Ryan Christopher Claveria

JOLI ALFEREZ: ANG SMILING DARLING NG CAMARINES SUR

Joli Alferez imbibes her name's homonym. Dubbed “Ang Smiling Darling ng Camarines Sur,” she's jolly through and through. During the shoot, she radiated positivity and pleasantly greeted everyone even those she had met for the first time.

“I was very surprised kasi ang dami namin du’n sa pila nu'ng audition tapos nu’ng in-announce ’yung teaser at nakita ko ’yung mukha ko, sobrang saya ko. Tumalon-talon pa ako. S’yempre I’m very grateful kasi naging part ako ng PBB after a very, very long process,” Joli recalls the beginning of her PBB journey.

For Joli, life before Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 was sunshine and rainbows. The life-changing thing about being a housemate was that she got to embrace the vulnerability she never tapped. Her experience inside the house made her realize that rains, even storms, are part of life and that it's okay to go through them to build a stronger character foundation.

“Every experience ko sa confession room, very memorable siya kasi du’n ’yung time na nakakapag-open up ako," Joli recalls, citing their "nonchalant task” inside the house as an eye-opener. ”Ako kasi ’yung type ng tao na mahilig mag-suppress ng emotions tapos during nu’ng nonchalant task, sabi sa’kin ni Kuya na dapat i-acknowledge ko ’yung different emotions ko, like ’yung sadness ko.”

Pinoy Big Brother is, in more ways than one, part of the housemates’ road to self-discovery and eventually healing. “Hindi kasi ako umiiyak. Hindi ako nasasaktan. Very idealistic person kasi ako,” Joli admits. But now, she knows that vulnerability can be a source of strength, and she's grateful to PBB and her fellow housemates for helping her reach that realization.

Joli has a degree in dentistry, and she's been bent on pursuing that career. Her PBB experience, however, showed her that she can still do that while enjoying another path, such as showbiz. Should she be given a chance to pursue acting, Joli hopes to dabble in the drama, romantic, or rom-com genre, starting with a “soft girl” role.

Asked about who she dreams of working with in the industry, Joli tells Metro.Style, “Gusto ko ’yung mga veteran actors, like sina John Arcilla, Vilma Santos. Julia Barretto, Kathryn Bernardo, Joshua Garcia. Kasi napapanood ko ’yung mga movies nila tapos natural sila mag-acting.”

Like the way movies or TV series depict life stories, PBB was a platform that showed her different real-life narratives, allowing her to see that there is beauty in struggle. "Na-realize ko na hindi talaga madali ang buhay. Iba-ibang kuwento pero lahat maganda,” she ponders.—Grace Libero-Cruz

He’s eager to work alongside some of the brightest stars, dropping names like Kathryn Bernardo, Joshua Garcia, Anne Curtis, Jericho Rosales, and Jodi Sta. Maria. From rom-coms to heavy dramas, Dingdong is ready to dive into the world of acting, even if it means starting as a supporting character. “Gusto ko ma-experience ’yung ibat-ibang genres and roles bago natin ma-achieve ’yung bigger opportunities,” he explains.

For Dingdong, PBB was a turning point and a springboard from politics to showbiz, and a platform that spotlighted both his love story and personality. His one word to sum up how he feels about it all? “Grateful.”

“Everything na dumadating sa akin—small or big opportunities, meeting people I used to only see on TV—I’m very grateful,” he says.

Patrick vividly remembers what an emotional rollercoaster it was to make it into Kuya’s house alongside his partner, Dingdong. “Actually, nu’ng time nayon, parang may huling challenge pa,” he recalls. “Talagang binigay ko nayung best ko kasi andoon na—dream ko rinto, so nilaban ko talaga.”

The most unforgettable moment? That monumental day he and Dingdong revealed their relationship to their fellow housemates. “’Yung naramdaman ko nu’n, priceless talaga,” Patrick shares. “Finally, ’di na namin kailangang magtago.”

The couple’s openness didn’t just impact their lives; it also reshaped how society viewed them. Patrick reflects on the acceptance they’ve received. “Tinanggap kami ng family namin ng buong-buo,” he says. “Siguro, first time nilang makita kami together as partners.
