Photos from DMCI Homes&#x27; website"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The Church of the Holy Sacrifice, popularly known as the UP Chapel, in Quezon City has received a landscape enhancement from DMCI Homes. <em>Photos from DMCI Homes&#x27; website</em></span></span></span></div><p>The Church of the Holy Sacrifice, located within the University of the Philippines Diliman campus, has received a fresh landscape makeover ahead of its 70th anniversary.</p><p>Property developer DMCI Homes said in a news release it completed the landscaping enhancement project of the Quezon City church, popularly known as the UP Chapel.</p><p>The project&#x27;s completion also comes ahead of the church&#x27;s celebration of its 70th anniversary on December 20.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1765695458645DMCI2 (1).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1765695466106DMCI2.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1765695473885DMCI4.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><p>The enhancement project began in May 2024, aimed at &quot;highlighting the chapel&#x27;s timeless design while creating a warm and serene outdoor setting for worshippers and the UP Diliman community,&quot; DMCI Homes said.</p><p>It included landscaping upgrades, grassing, and clearing across the chapel grounds, according to the company.</p><p>The UP Chapel was designed by National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin, and features the works of four other National Artists: Napoleon Abueva for Sculpture, Arturo Luz for Visual Arts, Vicente Manansala for Painting and Ang Kiukok for Visual Arts.</p><p>Alfredo Juinio, former dean of the UP College of Engineering, served as the building&#x27;s structural engineer while DMCI Group founder David M. Consunji built the church.</p>
