HandoutFormer Carbnb CEO and founder Christian Bradley has stepped down to become the head of CarBEV, a new company aimed at building up the first extensive fleet of battery electric cars (BEVs) in the Philippines.</div>From promoting shared mobility to advocating sustainability and social impact through clean transport innovation, the move represents a turning point in Bradley&#x27;s entrepreneurial career.By deploying an up-to-date of all-electric cars to support popular transport network vehicle service (TNVS) platforms, CarBEV hopes to improve driver welfare, help the Philippines meet its decarbonization goals, and increase access to sustainable mobility for Filipino commuters.In keeping with this goal, the brand has also established a preliminary alliance with Angcars, a newcomer to the local transportation market, to introduce its first 50 all-electric vehicles by 2025. Handout</div>CarBEV plans to work with important government organizations to enhance its purpose and match its projects with national interests. In order to support the aim of reaching a 50% EV fleet share by 2040, the comoany intends to collaborate with the Department of Energy to implement the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).Additionally, it will work with the Department of Transportation to encourage effective fleet management that can help alleviate Metro Manila&#x27;s ongoing traffic congestion, as well as with the Department of Labor and Employment to institutionalize social protection and benefits for TNVS drivers.“This new chapter is about purpose and progress,” Bradley said. “My journey as an entrepreneur hasn’t always been easy, some difficult, some transformative, that made me realize what truly matters, but every experience has led me closer to purpose. Life is short, and it’s time to focus on what’s right and lasting. [This new venture] is my way of turning that realization into action, creating real value for our community and environment.”The Carbnb board has accepted Bradley’s resignation and confirmed the appointment of a new CEO, whose name will be announced at a later date. Bradley will remain a major shareholder and strategic advisor to ensure a smooth leadership transition and continued alignment.Describing CarBEV as the culmination of his personal and professional growth, Bradley said, “My journey with Carbnb has been incredible, but CarBEV is a calling I can no longer ignore. It’s a convergence of my faith, my desire for redemption, and my commitment to using business as a force for good.”
