Because we always had mutual friends but we never really crossed paths,&quot; she recalled. &quot;And then one day he reached out to me, saying na &#x27;Do you want to have coffee? I&#x27;m here in California.&#x27; Because I was based in California at the time.&quot;&quot;I was always game to make new friends so I told him sure, let&#x27;s hang out,&quot; she continued. &quot;But when I got home, I called my friend and I spoke about him. I told her, &#x27;This is such a great guy for you. Like I want to set you up!&#x27;&quot;The Miss Earth 2014 titleholder admitted that it was &quot;not love at first sight,&quot; but more of a slow burn. &quot;So I was actually planning to play cupid and set them up. But for some reason the schedules never aligned. And when I got to know Matt even more, he was very modest, very simple,&quot; she said of the son of Senator Imee Marcos. &quot;It was not love at first sight... It&#x27;s fun. I love our story.
