Summer is here! While it’s the perfect time to travel, it’s also ideal for lounging at home. If you’re the type who would rather stay at home, especially during this season, why not refresh your space with accent pieces that will give it a summer vibe?

Anko, Australia’s much-loved home and lifestyle brand, recently launched its Home Living collection, coinciding with the reveal of Anne Curtis-Smith as the brand’s ambassador. At the event, we got glimpses of the brand's product portfolio in the home department, which carries pieces for the living area, dining space, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom.

Last Valentine’s season, Anko held a meet-cute event where guests experienced going around its store in Glorietta, Makati, seamlessly hopping from one section to another to shop for beauty staples, arts & craft must-haves, educational toys and kid-friendly activities, pet care essentials, and, of course, home items. 

But recently, for their Home Living collection launch, Anko did a condo takeover at Alveo Land’s Mergent Residences model unit in Makati. This way guests could better appreciate their offerings and visualize these pieces for their homes.

In collaboration with Nicole Rosenberg, founder of Melbourne-based Liberty Interiors and a famous Australian interior designer, the condo unit was transformed into a warm and inviting space using Anko products that are not only stylish, practical, and functional but also affordable.

As this reimagined home design proves, it’s truly amazing how small thoughtful accents can significantly impact the overall vibe of interior areas.

This living room setup shows two ways to easily integrate cozy and vibrant elements that suit the summer season. Accentuate corners, tabletops, or shelves with indoor plants, for which Anko has a nice selection of pots in various sizes. Style sofas and accent chairs with plush pillows in white, cream, or pastel hues, or the classic bold stripes.  

Create further visual interest in a space by turning a plain wall into a focal point. I like how this leaf wall art is subdued yet statement-making, whether hung on a wall or placed atop a credenza. 

Update your bedroom with this textured white, curved nightstand; its color and open shelving style complement a light and bright interior. Decorate it with a potted plant or succulents alongside a scented candle; the Morning Mist Fragrant Candle's mild scent and its light blue shade are especially perfect for a summery mood.
