The ABS-CBN Ball has always been known as the most anticipated event with the largest gathering of the biggest stars in the country. Through the years, this formal affair has become synonymous with elegance and glamour while showcasing the best of Philippine talent in fashion design. Thanks to the comprehensive multi-platform red carpet coverage by Metro, the Ball is now a major platform for celebrating and promoting local designers.

As expected, the celebrities looked wonderful walking the red carpet in their Spring Formal gowns and tuxedos. We were happy to see that even the ABS-CBN heads, executives, and VIP guests supported this year’s dress code and did not disappoint.

President and CEO of ABS-CBN Corporation Carlo Katigbak and COO of ABS-CBN Corporation Cory Vidanes at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025The first on the red carpet were ABS-CBN Corporation’s President and CEO Carlo Katigbak and COO of Broadcast of ABS-CBN Corporation Cory Vidanes. Carlo or CLK as he is fondly called, appeared in a classic ivory dinner jacket, opting for the warm weather black tie option instead of the more popular black tuxedo jacket. This is reserved but also a standout choice. Some of the most iconic looks in Hollywood films showcase the ivory jacket: Sean Connery in Goldfinger, Daniel Craig in Spectre, and of course, Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. Meanwhile Cory Vidanes was beautiful and radiant in a burnt orange gown with delicate floral appliqués by her favorite designer Paul Cabral.

Chairman of ABS-CBN Corporation Mark Lopez looked dapper in his traditional black tie tuxedo while his wife Connie, Chief of Staff of The Office of the President, glowed in her yellow gown by Rhett Eala. Maalala Mo Kaya host (which will be returning on ABS-CBN soon!) Charo Santos, who is no stranger to the red carpet, walked with ease in her pretty in pink Rhett Eala gown while being escorted by actor Piolo Pascual, who looked so handsome in a green dinner jacket by Paul Cabral. This creative black tie option was a trend in the recent award shows in Hollywood.

It was truly inspiring to see Filipino-made creations on the red carpet. Head of Metro Christina Lopez in Rajo Laurel escorted by husband Mike Lopez of Rockwell Land, Managing Director of ABS-CBN Foundation Roberta Feliciano-Lopez in Lulu Tan-Gan with her husband businessman Ting Feliciano, Nicole Lopez in Sari Lazaro with husband Head of Digital of ABS-CBN Jamie Lopez, Michelle Lopez in Vania Romoff with husband former President of ABS-CBN Publishing and Creative Programs Inc. Ernie Lopez, Tootsy Angara in Inno Sotto with husband Senator Sonny Angara, Karen Davila in Dennis Lustico, Dyan Castillejo in Val Taguba, and GMA Network, Inc. Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon in Noel Estopito, each chose the designer that best represents their personal style. Those who opted for international labels turned up in stunning designs as well. Small Laude was dressed in Zuhair Murad while Bernadette Sembrano opted for Carolina Herrera.
