At the heart of any gentleman’s closet is a good black tie look. Also known as a tuxedo, it has long consisted of a dress shirt and suit jacket paired with pressed trousers and, of course, a bow tie. With its formalities, it’s as classic and timeless as men’s style can be. If you're looking for black tie inspirations that are perfect for the warm weather we have here in the Philippines, you've come to the right place!

At the ABS-CBN Ball, we spotted many black tie looks that took on the lightest shades, perfect for Spring-Summer dressing. To keep it classic nonetheless, male celebrities wore their tuxedos in variations of whites, creams, and ivories, remaining versatile yet true to the style’s codes.

ABS-CBN’s CEO and President, Carlo López Katigbak, was one of the night’s gentlemen who sported the black tie which he paired with the sharp lines of a bright ivory jacket. Arjo Atayde also followed suit with crisp white top layers detailed with a silver crystal brooch. Other celebrities added subtle twists to the timeless look, keeping it interesting with the details. For JM Ibarra, the young star wore a bespoke Neric Beltran tuxedo paired with an eye-catching, textural suit jacket fully beaded in white. For Ryan Bang, the It’s Showtime star added a hint of print with subtle stripes decorating a white suit and a textured bow tie.
