At this year’s ABS-CBN Ball, the theme is Spring Formal. Picture a red carpet of fresh colors and light silhouettes, detailed with references to the season of all things florals and blooms. Whether stars will be decked out in flowers or reimagining spring in their own way, we’re counting down the days to ABS-CBN’s biggest night by putting the spotlight on the people behind-the-seams.

For stylist Adrianne Concepcion, her take on Spring Formal is elegant and understated, making an ode to spring without overdoing it on the florals. This year, she has a group of powerhouse women under her wing—all of whom, Adrianne shares, have had a hands-on role in bringing their looks to life.

For Kim Chiu, expect to see a “sleeker Kim”—refined and womanly yet sexy and minimal. For Lovi Poe, her look is “true to her romantic persona” with a modern Victorian twist reminiscent of the Jane Austen era. For Belle Mariano, the word is intentional: dressed in couture delicately detailed with resin-molded flowers and crystal rhinestones. For Maris Racal—in what was described to be one of this year’s most challenging gowns to make—expect a romantic, intricately layered look with airbrushed colors and architecturally rendered gradients. For Bela Padilla, the theme is bohemian, creating a nod to A Midsummer Night’s Dream while remaining true to the actress’ aesthetic. For Ivana Alawi, think: spring showers—a clean, delicate look “ascended from water”. For young stars Fyang Smith and Kai Montinola, expect elegant appearances that mark “their grand entrance into show business—their newfound stardom,” as described by Adrianne. Fyang is hinted to have her “Cinderella moment” with a tasteful look that takes on a modern interpretation of the fairytale, while Kai is set to wear a gown inspired by the beauty of Hydrangeas with a delicate arrangement of ruffles.

For Perry Tabora, the mood is fresh, modern, and distinctly personal. “For this year’s ABS-CBN Ball, I will be styling three stunning and talented women: Janella Salvador, Chie Filomeno, and Jane De Leon. Each of them brings a unique energy and presence to the red carpet, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with some of the industry’s most brilliant designers—Mark Bumgarner, Jaz Cerezo, and Ehrran Montoya—to bring their looks to life,” he shares. Keeping it true to each of the women he’s dressing, Perry keeps it intentional: “from silhouette to fabric choice, the goal is to highlight their confidence, elegance, and strength while staying true to their personal styles.”

For John Lozano, Spring Formal is less on the florals and more of an ode to the season’s mood of radiance. This year’s Ball, he reunites with Donny Pangilinan, Mavy Legaspi, James Reid, and Issa Pressman. Collaborating with some of the Philippines’ most acclaimed talents, John has also teamed up with designers such as Francis Libiran for Gary Valenciano and Thian Rodriguez, who, as John describes, has created a “unique look” for Morissette. We’re looking forward to looks that are understated and elegant yet flattering and personal: “We wanted to focus on highlighting the personal style and preference of the clients and ultimately what would make them shine the most on the red carpet”.
