After more than a decade at the creative helm of Loewe, Jonathan Anderson is stepping down, leaving behind a legacy of reinvention, craftsmanship, and boundary-pushing design. His tenure has been nothing short of revolutionary, transforming the once-niche Spanish luxury house into one of fashion’s most exciting and influential brands.

Since joining in 2013, Anderson has redefined Loewe’s identity, fusing its rich leather heritage with an avant-garde, deeply artistic approach. Under his direction, the house saw a meteoric rise, fueled by his innovative vision and dedication to craft. From sculptural silhouettes and surrealist elements to unexpected material experimentation, Anderson consistently blurred the lines between fashion and art. His runway shows were moments of pure theater—whether it was models carrying life-sized leather anthurium flowers, coats that appeared to float on air, or garments that challenged the very notion of wearability.  

Beyond the spectacle, Anderson’s designs became cultural touchpoints. The Puzzle bag, introduced in 2014, became a modern classic with its origami-inspired structure and modular versatility. Other instantly recognizable creations followed: the Flamenco clutch, the quirky-shaped shoes, and the inflated, balloon-like dresses that took over red carpets and fashion editorials.
