Liza Soberano continues to make strides in Hollywood in her own fashion, but this time, she celebrates the glory of Philippine cinema with her as she attends the second Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) this year. At the festival, she first came in a scarlet-hued gown that definitely turned heads onstage. And for the formal dinner with the First Lady pf the Philippines Liza Marcos, she went for a minimalist yet elegant look, fit for the occasion. Liza in an Anthony Ramirez look

The body-hugging red look with flared bottoms is an Anthony Ramirez creation. But there is more to this scarlet-hued look than it seems. “This masterpiece was crafted from a bespoke Inabel fabric, intricately woven in La Union. Every thread was meticulously chosen by Liza and me, ensuring that the gown not only reflected her elegance but also paid homage to our cultural heritage,” says Perry.

It is important for Perry and Liza to have a purely Filipino design moment for this occasion. “By incorporating the artistry of Inabel weaving into fashion, we aimed to celebrate Filipino craftsmanship on an international stage while redefining the essence of modern elegance,” Perry continues.

Liza in a Dang Hoang look
The elegant satin knot top looks of Liza was also a stunner. Designed by Dang Hoang, a Vietnamese brand, the look is an asymmetrical softy draped satin top further modernized by a pair of high-waisted black trousers. “This look is a refined balance of structure and fluidity, making it an elegant choice for a formal dinner with the First Lady,” Perry ends.
