The fifth largest watchmaker in the world, Titan, just launched their “Titan In Me” campaign—a celebration of individuality, resilience, and passion. It also features the four Titan personalities: The Hero, The Lover, The Ruler, and The Magician with each one having a collection of watch designs to match.

To celebrate the occasion, the watch brand introduced two of the brightest stars Ruru Madrid and Max Collins as their brand ambassadors.

In an interview with Metro.Style, the two actors share their sentiments about how a watch is more than just a watch. When asked how they feel about being Titan endorsers, Ruru said that it had fulfilled a lifelong dream he’s had, “It’s an honor! This is my first time being an ambassador of a watch brand and it’s always been my dream to represent one. Ever since bata ako, I’ve had a thing for watches. I love them but we couldn’t afford it.” He used to just borrow from his dad but now getting this opportunity is a life-long dream come true for him.  

Meanwhile, Max says that it was a perfect fit for someone like her who makes the most out of her 24 hours. “I am so happy to be a Titan endorser because it reflects my values. I take my time seriously because it is the most expensive currency out there and this [watch] is a reminder for me to make every moment count.”

She also adds that she sees the Titan watches not only as timepieces but also as something that has meaning to them. “It’s the only accessory that has purpose, that has meaning because you use it. It reminds you that time is of the essence. It’s such a beautiful gift [to give to someone]; it’s sentimental.”

As for the designs that he gravitates towards, Ruru, who is known to have a love for motorcycles, says he loves a watch that can keep up with his active lifestyle but also complements his style. “Because of that name—Titan—to me, it represents resilience, strength, and purpose. ‘Dun pa lang maco-connect mo siya sa life ko. Sobrang bumagay siya sa personality ko. With the design, I always love a classic look, one that you can wear every day. I love wearing something timeless and vintage-looking kasi may story, mas maangas.”

On the other hand, Max loves a watch that can match every role that she plays every day, whether it’s on or off the screen. “Titan helps me show off my different personas. I’m a mom so usually during the day, I just wear something casual so I want [a watch] that’s simple but classy at the same time. When I’m an actress at work, it’s more glam so I like that they have different designs and styles that suit every character that I play daily. The whole Raga by Titan collection is so chic and they complement any outfit. I feel like these pieces elevate every look and that’s what I love about them.”
