In the City of Light, the “better safe than sorry” mantra has taken a one-way ticket out of town.

As predicted, Paris Fashion Week went all out with its classic stunt of redefining glamour. The runways were bursting with daring statements this season—from sultry, smoked eyeliner to blush so bold it could stop traffic.

Here’s a rundown of the standout beauty trends that ruled the Parisian Fall/Winter 2025 catwalks!

Angsty Reversed Eyeliner

Forget signature cat eyes—Dior turned tradition upside down with a reverse liner trend that channeled moody, rebellious, underground glam. Instead of a winged flick, the pigment was concentrated on the inner corners of the eyes to create a brooding, mysterious effect. Peter Philips kept the rest of the makeup minimal, letting the eyes do all the talking. Paired with slicked-back hair and side-swept fringe, this look was pure Parisian edge with an underground cool-girl nonchalance appeal.

Tousled Woodstock Waves Revival

On the more wearable end of the spectrum, Chloé delivered with effortless, tousled waves straight out of the ‘70s that exuded an understated bohemian charm. Created by Authentic Beauty Concept and Dyson, these natural, textured waves gave the illusion of a girl who just woke up, ran her hands through her hair, and walked out the door looking effortlessly chic. Proof that sometimes, the most stunning beauty moments are the simplest.

Hot Pink Blush Obsession

At Valentino, blush wasn’t just an accent; it was the whole mood. Models strutted down the runway with hyper-pigmented pink hues that extended past their temples, going after a sculpted, post-midnight rendezvous glow. Using Valentino’s Spike Valentino lipstick in 302R Pink is Punk, makeup artist Yadim layered vivid pink pigments to lift and define the face, while glossy red lips added extra punch. This look is proof that over-the-top blush isn’t a mistake!

Smokey eyes got a couture makeover at Chanel, where makeup artists created a feathered, diffused wing that looked as soft as silk. The delicate, airbrushed effect mimicked the textures of tweed and ribbon, seamlessly blending into the skin for an effortlessly chic finish. Topped off with the collection’s signature bow-accented hairstyles by James Precis, the overall aesthetic was a nod to a classic elegance but with a modern spin.

Louis Vuitton dialed up the drama with a power makeup moment straight out of an ‘80s film noir. Deep, sculpted contouring, vampy lips, and statement eyes screamed old Hollywood decadence—but with a fresh touch. With Dame Pat McGrath at the helm of Louis Vuitton’s first-ever color cosmetics launch, the runway teased what’s to come: makeup that’s bold, unapologetic, and built for the spotlight.

Couture Lashes

For those craving a poke of whimsy, Courrèges served with its avant-garde lash game. Lead makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver introduced a playful take on falsies by crafting them from cellophane—giving the illusion of fluttering, translucent wings. These oversized futuristic lashes fluttered with every blink are no doubt catching the light and adding a surreal, almost holographic effect. Whether paired with a minimal base or bold shadow for an editorial moment, this trend took lash play to the next level.

Lip Liner Reinvented

Not your basic lip contouring, this season lip liners had a flair that is truly avant-garde. At Vivienne Westwood, bold color clashes made lips look like they were pulled straight from a surrealist painting with deep noir lines contrasted against fiery reds and electric pinks. Bet one can say the look resulted in an artistic, almost hand-drawn pout.
