Exhibit, special t-shirts to mark 75th anniversary of Darna

MANILA — ABS-CBN is commemorating the 75th anniversary of Darna with the launch of a limited-edition shirt collection and a special exhibit highlighting the legacy of Mars Ravelo’s iconic Filipino superhero.

Originally debuting in Pilipino Komiks in 1950, Darna has remained a symbol of strength, courage, and bayanihan. The Pinay superhero was most recently brought to life in the 2022 television series "Mars Ravelo’s Darna," starring Jane de Leon.

The anniversary shirt line, released by ABS-CBN, features five colorways — navy, royal blue, gray, fern green, and greyish green — and is available for pre-order through Lazada, Shopee, and Facebook via ShirtsandPrintsPH.

Fans can also purchase the commemorative shirts during the Philippine International Comics Convention at MegaTrade Hall 2 in SM Megamall on July 5 and 6. The event will feature a special exhibit titled "Mars Ravelo: Tales from the Magic Makinilya,' showcasing the legacy of Ravelo and his timeless characters.

Earlier this year, Darna’s milestone was also celebrated through a month-long exhibit in Casa San Pablo, Laguna. Titled "From Panels to Legacy: Lipad Darna! 75," the showcase included original comic panels, memorabilia, and costumes from the 2022 TV adaptation.
