With all the buzz surrounding Netflix's latest animated musical film "Kpop Demon Hunters," the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines is turning the hype into an opportunity for Filipino fans to engage more deeply with Korean culture.

The KCC is set to launch "Step Into the World of K‑Pop Demon Hunters," a four-part program that invites fans of the film "to trace the movie's unmistakable visual icons back to their cultural roots," the center said Tuesday in a press release.

"When viewers fall in love with Sussie & Derpy, marvel at the sleek black gat, or spot the maedeup bracelet on screen, they’re actually looking at centuries‑old symbols of Korean life," KCC Philippines Director Kim Myeong-jin said in a statement.

"Our role is to open the door from pop culture to cultural appreciation, so the Filipino audience can experience the stories, skills, and values woven into these elements," he said.
