“So, diniscuss natin 'yung multi-platform journalism dun sa students. Ito 'yung current environment that journalists operate in, work in right now. At para sa akin, napakahalaga na makausap 'yung mga estudyante dahil sa panahon ngayon,” Tulad said, emphasizing the critical need for students to be discerning of information they encounter online.

So it’s good to inform them, to bring them back to us, where they can get the correct information, verified information, so that they can make the right decision, especially, and it will be validated. Maghahalalan na.”

“We felt it was really important and it was an opportune moment for us in the Manila Bulletin to be able to partner with ABS,” Cu-unjieng explained. “We felt, especially the kids today, the students here at STI, they are essentially the future. And so, whatever we’re talking about in terms of elections, in terms of a better life for the next generation — it’s really this generation that we’re talking about. So we welcome that opportunity and the chance to be able to talk to them about our Matalinong Boto campaign and how we’ve partnered with ABS News in terms of trying to create better awareness of what their responsibilities as a voter are and what democracy can mean for them in the future.”

“You know, the partnership of ABS-CBN and STI has been longstanding na since 1998. And nakakatuwa na na-consider pa rin nila kami at this time. I think ito siguro ay because si STI and si ABS-CBN, pareho sila ng paniniwala na yung learning ng student should not end inside the classroom. So mahalaga na meron tayong ganitong mga exposure in real life ng mga nangyayari. Lalo na ngayon, very timely na because meron nga halalan na darating.”
