Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) has a new anthem, and it's performed by no less than actor and "Randomantic" hitmaker James Reid. 

The song, titled "Love the Chase," was produced by Empire Philippines (which holds the MUPH franchise) and Reid's record label Careless Music. 

The "On the Wings of Love" star was credited for the music and lyrics, along with Kiko Salazar and Alas.

MUPH gave fans a first listen as it uploaded a video of runway performances of this year's candidates set to the upbeat track.  

"Boppin' on the runway!" it said.

Reid, for his part, announced his collaboration with MUPH through an Instagram post. 

"New anthem," said the actor, who rose to fame as half of the former reel and real tandem JaDine with Nadine Lustre. 

The MUPH 2025 coronation night will be held on May 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The winner will represent the country in the next Miss Universe pageant. 

Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Theilvig and this year's continental queens, including the Philippines' Chelsea Manalo, will grace the event as special guests.
