Heart Evangelista marked another milestone as a style icon as she received the Global Fashion Influencer of the Year award in Dubai. 

The actress was a vision in white as she graced the EMIGALA Awards stage in an intricate dress by Michael Leyva. 

Her award was co-presented by a fellow Filipino, Dubai-based designer to the stars Michael Cinco.

"It is such an honor to be standing here on this stage and sharing this moment with all of you magnificent people," Evangelista said as she introduced herself as an artist from the Philippines.

"In many moments, I have played different characters in telenovelas and in cinemas in my beloved country. But there is nothing quite more satisfying, freeing, and liberating than to play my most important role -- which is playing myself," she added. 

Evangelista believes her Global Fashion Influencer of the Year award is a "testament" to the power of authenticity, saying "you just have to allow yourself to be."

"Be confident with the kind of heart that you have -- that no matter what happens, no matter where life takes you, even if you have insecurities and sometimes some downfalls, you have to believe that the sincerity of the heart will always win," said the actress, who also thanked her family, friends, and supporters.

After years in local showbiz, Evangelista rose to fame as a style influencer after being recognized by the likes of Vogue Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, and Forbes France.

She has been dubbed as the Philippines' "Queen of Fashion" for setting trends and showcasing both local and international brands.
