People lined up along streets in San Pablo City, Laguna on April 16, 2025  to witness this year’s Holy Wednesday procession, as part of the Lenten season. 

They waited for carrozas or floats carrying tablaeux of images commemorate the crucifixion story of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Wednesday procession tells the story of the suffering Jesus experienced, according to Biblical tradition. 

The parish priest narrated the story of Jesus as the images were paraded in front of the people.

The procession began beside the San Pablo Cathedral in Laguna, officially known as the Cathedral Parish of Saint Paul the First Hermit, a significant Roman Catholic cathedral located in San Pablo Cit.

The priest administered the blessing of the church as people followed the parade, lighting candles, and offering prayers as the procession went around the city streets.
